CES University is glad to announce its first Annual International Week, which will be held every year with different academic, artistic, cultural and gastronomic activities that will bring together the academic community.  In this framework, this year the event Uniendo Culturas: English Fest, will take place between August 20th  and 23rd at the El Poblado campus.

The Fest is designed to celebrate diverse cultures, promote cultural awareness and appreciation of English-speaking countries, foster global connections and intercultural dialogue within the university community, promote the study of a second language, in this case English, through immersive and interactive activities, and by making visible a world of opportunities that open when learning this language.

The program will include musical presentations, an exhibit of publications in English by our faculty and students, a gastronomic and cultural festival, and contests for the whole community, which visitors will be able to  enjoy throughout the different spaces of our campus such as the Founders´ Library, the  C Building Terrace and Area 77, the recently renovated university bookstore,  among others.

According to Dinah Roll Vélez, Head of the University’s Office of Global Affairs “This event aims to provide faculty and students, including those who do not have the opportunity to travel and participate in an exchange program firsthand, with experiences that will allow them to interact with other cultures, language and customs. In addition,  she  also emphasized that “an in-house internationalization program such as Uniendo Culturas is a highly relevant strategy  that  allows integrating multiple international and cultural dimensions, thus enhancing  intercultural skills and abilities amongst students and faculty, something promoted by  UNESCO to enhance equitable interactions, dialogue and mutual respect between cultures,  in order to foster and educate  global citizens”.
