data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>La <em>Orden de la Participaci\u00f3n Ciudadana, <\/em>entregada por la Alcald\u00eda de Sabaneta, y el reconocimiento como referente en la atenci\u00f3n de la pandemia de la COVID-19, otorgada por la Alcald\u00eda de Apartad\u00f3, fueron las dos distinciones que obtuvo el Instituto Colombiano de Medicina Tropical (ICMT) de los municipios donde tiene sus sedes.<\/p><p>En ambas distinciones se exalt\u00f3 la labor y el compromiso del ICMT por aportar a las comunidades donde impacta, con la asistencia cient\u00edfica y la consultor\u00eda que brinda, aspecto que lo ha posicionado como referente en el Valle de Aburr\u00e1 y en el Urab\u00e1 antioque\u00f1o en el seguimiento de los eventos de inter\u00e9s en salud p\u00fablica como las muertes evitables, brotes y enfermedades transmisibles.<\/p><p>\u00a0<em>\u201cEl ICMT recibi\u00f3 este reconocimiento como un referente a nivel nacional e internacional en investigaciones de enfermedades tropicales y la labor que ha hecho con la Secretar\u00eda de Salud en la contenci\u00f3n del COVID-19. Adem\u00e1s, gracias al convenio que tenemos, hemos podido mantener la vigilancia de enfermedades que son reportables o que requieren un control\u201d<\/em>, resalt\u00f3 el Dr. John Jairo Estrada Mesa, secretario de Salud de Sabaneta.<\/p><p>Alrededor de 2.000 investigaciones de casos de salud p\u00fablica, diagn\u00f3sticos de salud mental, m\u00e1s de 50 asistencias t\u00e9cnicas a los actores del sistema de salud, el fortalecimiento anual del Equipo de Respuesta Inmediata -ERI -, georreferenciaci\u00f3n de los eventos de salud y las jornadas de vacunaci\u00f3n son algunos de los resultados entregados en estos a\u00f1os al municipio de Sabaneta.<\/p><p>Por su parte, la Alcald\u00eda de Apartad\u00f3 destac\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n la labor investigativa y diagn\u00f3stica adelantada por el ICMT en el 2020 a\u00f1o para contener a la COVID-19, como las pruebas que se realizaron entre la poblaci\u00f3n para detectar el virus o investigaciones como que analiz\u00f3 el contagio simultaneo de COVID-19 y dengue.<\/p><p>La Dra. Nora Cardona Castro, integrante del ICMT por m\u00e1s de 30 a\u00f1os, tambi\u00e9n recibi\u00f3 un reconocimiento por parte de la Alcald\u00eda de Medell\u00edn en los premios <em>Medell\u00edn Investiga 2020<\/em> por su trayectoria acad\u00e9mica e investigativa en torno a las enfermedades tropicales.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element
