Esto le permite a nuestra instituci\u00f3n potenciar los proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n e innovaci\u00f3n que se est\u00e9n desarrollando, adem\u00e1s de poder ayudar con otros proyectos fuera de la instituci\u00f3n en el mundo.<\/p><p>Esta plataforma WAITRO cuenta con un grupo de miembros que son los investigadores registrados alrededor del mundo, quienes exponen sus proyectos a trav\u00e9s de la plataforma web Saira (que pertenece a WAITRO) y si alg\u00fan miembro, sin importar el pa\u00eds donde se encuentre, decide aportar y hacer parte de dicho proyecto, desde la Saira se pueden unir fuerzas y hacer que los interesados puedan desarrollar alg\u00fan tema en conjunto.<\/p><p>\u201c<em>La idea es que nuestros investigadores se inscriban a WAITRO, de esta manera podr\u00e1n tener acceso a toda la informaci\u00f3n de proyectos que hay en la red, adem\u00e1s que as\u00ed tambi\u00e9n podr\u00e1n publicar sus proyectos en Saira<\/em>\u201d, coment\u00f3 Dinah Roll V\u00e9lez, coordinadora de Cooperaci\u00f3n Internacional y Acuerdos de la Universidad CES.<\/p><p>Por otro lado, esta red realiza anualmente un concurso llamado The WAITRO Inovation Award, donde se postulan distintos proyectos con un enfoque determinado. En este a\u00f1o 2020 el tema es: desaf\u00edos relacionados con el agua. Desde la Facultad de Ciencias y Biotecnolog\u00eda de la Universidad CES se viene dise\u00f1ando un proyecto para postular en este concurso, por esta raz\u00f3n el Bolet\u00edn Enlaces Digital habl\u00f3 con Hilda Mar\u00eda Palacio Betancur, docente de los pregrados de Biolog\u00eda y Ecolog\u00eda.<\/p><p><em>\u201cDesde la Facultad de Ciencias y Biotecnolog\u00eda en conjunto con el Centro de Ciencia y Tecnolog\u00eda de Antioquia, se viene realizando un proyecto que tiene como fin monitorear embalses y lagos por medio de drones, para de esta manera determinar si all\u00ed se encuentran cianobacterias, que son organismos t\u00f3xicos que pueden afectar a los animales y a los seres humanos que entren a estas aguas\u201d, <\/em>se\u00f1al\u00f3 la docente Palacio Betancur.<\/p><p>Para inscribirse a WAITRO se debe ingresar a la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.waitro.org\/about-waitro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">p\u00e1gina oficial de la red<\/a>  y
